HPDT social dog walk in Essex and Hertfordshire with clients and their dogs
22nd December 2025

HPDT Social Walk Dates 2026

If you’re looking for a friendly dog social walk in Essex and Hertfordshire, our monthly HPDT Social Walks are client-only group dog walks designed to help dogs enjoy the countryside while practising real-life skills like recall, calm behaviour around other dogs, and engagement with their owner.

HPDT Social Walks are our monthly group walks for clients past and present. We pick a new location each month, making it a truly enriching experience for your dog.

They’re a brilliant way to meet like-minded owners, help your dog maintain positive social experiences, and keep the “HPDT standard” of dog walking etiquette nice and high. 😄

Free and exclusive for HPDT clients (past and present)
Once a month (third Sunday of every month)
New location each time (posted in our WhatsApp/Mailing List with parking + What3Words)
Great for foundations like recall, check-ins and walking around dogs

Here are the provisional dates for 2026 so you can get them in the diary. They’re all on the third Sunday of each month (except May & September):

How it works each month

Each month I’ll post the full details for our next HPDT Social Walk in our WhatsApp/Mailing List (sign up below), including:

  • Exact location (plus parking details)
  • What3Words so you can find the meeting spot easily
  • Meet time + walk start time (usually meeting at 10:50, walking at 11:00)
  • Any theme ideas (yes, festive outfits are always encouraged when it’s December 🎄)

Who can come

Strictly for HPDT Clients and their dog (past and present) who have completed our face-to-face Puppy and/or High School course.

This walk is not suitable for dogs with any reactive behaviour.

Code of Conduct

We aim to set the bar for Dog Walking Etiquette (read the full article here).

Please put your dog on a lead if:

  • You see other dogs on lead (they may be anxious)
  • Your dog is likely to approach or jump up at people (they might not want the attention 😊)
  • There is any livestock or horse riders nearby
  • Your dog is harassing another dog in the group

Please bring a short lead (no flexi leads please), poo bags, and plenty of treats. You want sexy “recall treats” which I’ve highlighted in our shop. You can also read Using The Right Treat For The Right Job.

Hope to see you all soon for walkies, love ’n’ licks,

Heath & Bear x
