How to Make a Killer Kong for Dogs

Killer Kong is one of the easiest and most effective ways to slow your dog’s eating, boost confidence, encourage independence, and provide powerful mental stimulation.

It’s a boredom buster, slow feeder, and brain workout all rolled into one, keeping your dog busy in a healthy, positive way.

You can buy the Kong Classic from our shop. My biggest tip? GO LARGE. Bigger Kongs are safer, harder to empty, and keep dogs engaged for much longer.

Always build up gradually. Start with an easy Kong using loose kibble such as Akela Dog Food. Then increase difficulty by moistening the food, packing it more tightly, and eventually freezing it overnight for a long-lasting breakfast or enrichment session.

You can also use softer fillings such as Pooch & Mutt Wet Food, Bone Broth for Dogs, Nature’s Deli Paste, Arden Grange Liver Paste, or Purest Dog Peanut Butter. A tiny sprinkle of Fettle Pumpkin Powder or a small drizzle of Bugalugs Scottish Salmon Oil can also add variety if it suits your dog’s diet.
