Widford Dog Show 2026: Hertfordshire Class Times
The dog show begins at 11.15am, with a new class scheduled every 15 minutes. There is a class for all sorts of wonderful dogs, from fabulous rescue dogs to expert tail-waggers.
| Time | Dog show class |
|---|---|
| 11.15am | Waggiest Tail |
| 11.30am | Pretty Lady |
| 11.45am | Gorgeous Fella |
| 12 noon | Best Rescue |
| 12.15pm | Best Trick |
| 12.30pm | Best Junior Handler, under 16s |
| 12.45pm | Judge’s Favourite |
I will be the special guest judge for the dog show, which may be the most pressure I have ever felt while deciding who has the waggiest tail. I am really looking forward to meeting the dogs and their families, and celebrating what makes each dog special.
Supporting Widford Playing Field and Cats at ALFS
All money raised at the event will go towards Widford Playing Field and Cats at ALFS, a cat charity dedicated to caring for and rehoming stray and unwanted pregnant cats.
By coming along, entering the dog show, visiting the stalls or enjoying one of the activities, you will be helping to support the local playing field and cats in need.
The event signs are kindly sponsored by Universal Signs and Powells Funeral Directors, while Luxury Toilet Hire UK Ltd is sponsoring the toilet hire.
Small Business Pitches
Small businesses are welcome to join the event. Pitches cost £15 when booked in advance or £20 on the day, subject to availability.
To ask about a pitch or get more information, contact Gail on 07747 300095.
A Few Things to Bring
Bring a chair if you would like somewhere to sit. If you are bringing your dog, pack water, a bowl, poo bags and a few rewards they genuinely enjoy. Keep an eye on the weather and give your dog space from busy areas if they need it. A fun day out should still feel comfortable for them.
Dog shows can be exciting, but your dog does not need to greet every person or dog. It is perfectly fine to watch from a quieter spot, take breaks or head home once they have had enough.
Come and Say Hello
I will be at the dog show throughout the morning, so please come over and say hello. I would love to meet you and your dog. If you are attending with a puppy or newly adopted dog, you are also very welcome to ask me a training question while you are there.
