If you are looking for a good weekend adventure walk, this has everything. You will start off walking through Gunpowder Park. Then head up, passing the garden cemetery to a lovely view over the reservoirs.
Make your way through the forest before going through West Essex Golf Course. Then over to Yardley Hill for a fantastic view over the city. Back along the River Lee and into the park again for the finish.
Parts of the route can be VERY muddy, but nothing a good pair of walking boots can’t handle. Plus it is well worth it for the view and exploration. Paid parking at the start.
