There are certain situations where I use a head collar to prevent pulling and aid control. Especially from a safety point of view of either the handler or dog where pulling could lead to injury. The idea is the head collar is faded out as you work on loose lead walking. This must be introduced appropriately to ensure your dog has a positive association with wearing one (see our training video). Ensure you get the right size for your dog.
